Rules and Regulations

ARTISTS' MARKET APPLICATION and SELECTION PROCEDURES

ELIGIBILITY:

1. The Artists' Market is open to all artists and craftspeople 18 years of age and older.
2. The FAF will attempt to keep a specific craft from becoming too abundant. An effort to show a reasonable number of each of the fine arts and crafts will be made.
3. All work submitted must be of the artist's original design. No commercial molds, kit objects, decoupage, pre-manufactured components, etc. will be considered. Jurors and the FAF reserve the right to determine the eligibility of all objects submitted for jurying.
4. Independent professional judging will be done by anonymous slide review. Application Form must be submitted with five (5) color slides (no photos), four showing only one item and one showing an actual display representative of the work to be exhibited at the Fine Arts Fiesta.
5. Application Fee: $20.00 (non-refundable) A SASE large enough to contain materials to be returned with sufficient postage must accompany Application Form.
6. Entry Deadline: Official Application Form (with slides, jurying fee, and SASE) must be postmarked no later than Friday, January 28, 2005. Incomplete or late applications will NOT be considered. All deadlines will be honored.

SELECTION and AWARDS:

1. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be mailed the week of February 14, 2005.
2. An exhibition fee of $150.00 will be required upon acceptance to Fiesta and should be received by Friday, March 11, 2005 to ensure inclusion. No postdated checks will be accepted. All deadlines will be honored.
3. Accepted exhibitors who live outside a 60 mile radius of the show will be eligible to a subsidized single occupancy hotel room upon a first come, first served request basis for Thursday, Friday and Saturday only. Total cost of subsidized lodging to be $50.00.
4. During the actual Fine Arts Fiesta the independent jurors will review the actual work of each artist and craftsperson and determine cash awards. Awards will be as follows: Best of Show in Crafts and Fine Arts, Honorable Mention (one in each category).
5. Awards will be presented at The Artists' Breakfast.
